Dermoplasma treatment at SG Aesthetics in Morpeth

DERMOPLASMA IN MORPETH

Skin tightening without surgery.

Dermoplasma, also known as plasma fibroblasting, is a non-surgical skin tightening treatment that uses controlled plasma energy to create tiny points of thermal stimulation on the skin's surface.

The treatment creates a controlled healing response, causing localised contraction of the skin and stimulating the skin’s natural repair processes. As the treated area heals, the skin can appear tighter, firmer and smoother.

Dermoplasma can be used to address areas of mild skin laxity and fine lines, including the delicate skin around the eyes. Treatment can also be considered for areas such as the upper and lower eyelids, crow’s feet, laughter lines, smokers’ lines and necklines, depending on your individual skin and suitability.

Areas we treat

Upper eyelids
Can be used to improve the appearance of mild excess or lax skin around the upper eyelids.

Under-eye area
May help improve the appearance of mild skin laxity and fine lines around the eyes.

Crow’s feet
Can be used to improve the appearance of fine lines around the outer corners of the eyes.

Laughter lines & smokers’ lines
Can help soften the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.

Necklines
May improve the appearance of fine lines and mild skin laxity on the neck.

Treatment suitability depends on the area, the condition of your skin and the result you would like to achieve.

What to expect

An anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment and is generally left in place for at least 30 minutes. The treatment itself can cause some discomfort, particularly in sensitive areas such as the eyelids, although individual tolerance varies.

Following treatment, small points or scabs will be visible across the treated area as the skin heals. Swelling is common and can be particularly noticeable around the eyes, where it may last for several days.

The initial recovery period is usually around seven days, although redness or pinkness can remain visible for longer. You will be given detailed aftercare advice and guidance on protecting the treated skin while it heals.

Lesion removal

Dermoplasma can also be used for the removal of certain benign skin lesions, including some moles and skin tags.

Any lesion considered for removal should first be assessed for suitability. Where appropriate, local anaesthetic may be used for lesion removal to ensure the area is adequately numbed.

A considered approach

Dermoplasma is not suitable for everyone, and the result depends on factors including the area being treated, the degree of skin laxity and individual healing response.

During your consultation, Sarah will assess the area you would like to treat, discuss your expectations and determine whether Dermoplasma is an appropriate option for you. The aim is to achieve a subtle improvement in skin tightness and appearance while maintaining your natural features.

Supporting your results at home

At SG Aesthetics, we believe that good skin health extends beyond in-clinic treatments. A personalised homecare routine using Obagi Medical® skincare may be recommended alongside your treatment to support your results and help maintain healthy-looking skin over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

The initial healing period is usually around seven days. Small scabs or crusts form at the treatment points and should be allowed to heal and fall away naturally. Redness or pinkness can remain visible for several weeks in some people.

Swelling is a common response following treatment around the eyes and can be particularly noticeable in the periorbital area. It may last for several days. Sarah will explain what to expect and provide appropriate aftercare advice.

Some tightening may be noticeable as the initial swelling settles, but the treated skin continues to remodel during the following weeks. The final result develops gradually and varies between individuals.
