PolyPhil injectable polynucleotides

POLYNUCLEOTIDES IN MORPETH

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are injectable treatments designed to support the skin's natural repair and regenerative processes.

Derived from purified DNA fragments, they are used in aesthetic medicine to improve overall skin quality rather than simply adding volume.

Once injected into the skin, polynucleotides are thought to support the skin’s natural regenerative processes and stimulate activity within the tissue. They can help improve hydration, elasticity and skin texture, creating a fresher, healthier-looking appearance over time.

Polynucleotide treatments are particularly suited to areas where the skin may appear dull, dehydrated, thin or lacking in elasticity. They can be used on the face, neck and hands, depending on the product selected and your individual needs.

PolyPhil™ Polynucleotides

At SG Aesthetics, we use PolyPhil™, an injectable polynucleotide treatment designed to support skin regeneration and improve skin quality. The polynucleotides used in PolyPhil™ are sourced from European freshwater fish intended for human consumption and undergo a purification process known as Polynucleotide High Purification Technology (PN-HPT).

PolyPhil™ treatments can help improve skin hydration, elasticity, texture and tone. They are not designed to change your facial features or add significant volume; instead, the aim is to improve the quality and appearance of the skin gradually, supporting a natural-looking result.

At SG Aesthetics, treatments are tailored to your skin and your desired outcome. Sarah’s extensive experience in aesthetic practice, combined with her clinical training and Master’s degree in Professional Non-Surgical Aesthetic Practice, allows her to take a considered approach to treatment and select the most appropriate option for each individual.

PolyPhil™ Eye

PolyPhil™ Eye is specifically formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes. It is designed to support skin quality in this sensitive area and improve the appearance of tired-looking eyes, helping the eye area to appear fresher and more revitalised.

A course of 2–3 treatments is usually recommended, although some improvement may be noticeable after a single session. Results develop gradually and the duration of effects varies between individuals.

PhilArt Next

A next-generation skin booster combining polynucleotides with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid to improve hydration, elasticity, firmness and overall skin quality. PhilArt Next is particularly suited to mature or dehydrated skin, helping to restore a smoother, fresher and more radiant appearance while supporting the skin’s natural rsegenerative processes.

Ideal for: dehydration, loss of elasticity, fine lines, dullness, mature skin and overall skin rejuvenation.

A course of 3 treatments, typically 3 weeks apart, is recommended, with the exact treatment plan tailored to your skin and individual needs.

Supporting your results at home

At SG Aesthetics, we believe that good skin health extends beyond in-clinic treatments. A personalised homecare routine using Obagi Medical® skincare may be recommended alongside your treatment to support your results and help maintain healthy-looking skin over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Polynucleotides treatments are generally well tolerated, and most side effects are mild and temporary. Mild redness, swelling, small bumps and tenderness may occur following treatment. These usually settle within 24–72 hours, although bruising can take longer to resolve. Under-eye treatments may experience slightly longer-lasting swelling.

For this reason, we recommend avoiding injectable aesthetic treatments immediately before any social or important event. Your practitioner will provide detailed aftercare advice following your treatment.

Polynucleotides differ from other, hyaluronic-based skin boosters and dermal fillers. Rather than giving skin a surge in collagen and elastin, or ‘plumping’ the skin with carefully placed temporary products, polynucleotides are catalysts in the regeneration of fibroblasts – the main cells within the skin’s structure.

Polynucleotide treatments are supported by a growing body of clinical research demonstrating improvements in skin quality, hydration, elasticity and overall appearance. While research continues to evolve, polynucleotides have become an increasingly popular treatment in aesthetic medicine due to their excellent safety profile and natural-looking results.
