Fat dissolving injection in morpeth

FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS IN MORPETH

Targeted. Considered. Non-surgical.

Fat-dissolving injections are designed to reduce small, localised areas of unwanted fat that can be resistant to diet and exercise.

They are intended for body contouring rather than weight loss and are most suitable for people who are close to their preferred body weight.

At SG Aesthetics, we use the Deso range of fat-dissolving treatments, with formulations designed for different areas of the body and face. Treatment is carefully tailored to the area being treated and the amount of fat present.

DesoBody

DesoBody is designed to target localised areas of stubborn body fat, including the abdomen, flanks, upper arms and bra fat. It may also be suitable for other small areas following individual assessment.

The treatment contains sodium deoxycholate, which works locally on fat cells in the treated area. Following treatment, the body naturally processes and clears the resulting cellular debris over time, with the visible improvement developing gradually.

DesoFace

DesoFace is formulated for use in smaller areas of the face, including the appearance of a double chin and localised fullness around the jawline or jowls.

As with body treatment, the aim is targeted reduction rather than significant weight loss. Careful assessment is particularly important when treating the face, where the amount and placement of treatment can affect overall facial balance.

A tailored approach to body contouring

Every treatment begins with a consultation to assess the area, discuss your goals and determine whether fat-dissolving injections are appropriate for you.

A course of treatments may be recommended, with treatments typically spaced several weeks apart to allow the area to settle and the body to process the treated fat. Improvements can develop after the first treatment, although the final result depends on the number of treatments required and your individual response.

The aim is a subtle reduction in localised fullness and a more defined contour, rather than a dramatic change.

Supporting your results at home

At SG Aesthetics, we believe that good skin health extends beyond in-clinic treatments. A personalised homecare routine using Obagi Medical® skincare may be recommended alongside your treatment to support your results and help maintain healthy-looking skin over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

They are designed for people with small, localised areas of unwanted fat that have proved resistant to diet and exercise. They are not intended as a treatment for general weight loss.

Deso contains sodium deoxycholate, an active ingredient that disrupts the membranes of fat cells in the treated area. The body then naturally processes and clears the resulting cellular material over time.

A course of 3–4 treatments may be recommended, depending on the area being treated and the amount of fat present. Treatments are spaced several weeks apart to allow the area to settle and the effects to develop.

A local anaesthetic can be used before treatment to improve comfort, and the Deso solution may also be combined with local anaesthetic according to the treatment protocol. Some discomfort, tenderness or sensitivity can still occur during and after treatment.

Fat cells treated successfully are removed from the treated area, so they do not simply regenerate. However, the remaining fat cells can still enlarge with weight gain, which can affect the overall result. Maintaining a stable weight is therefore recommended.

As with any injectable treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. These can include swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness and sensitivity, as well as less common complications. A full consultation is carried out beforehand to assess suitability and discuss the treatment and aftercare with you.
